State Council partakes in the meetings of the Arab Parliament committees for Foreign affairs & Social Affairs

The State Council and Majlis A’Shura will participate on Wednesday in the proceedings of the fourth session of the Third Conference of the second legislative chapter of the Arab Parliament, to be held at the headquarters of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, under the chairmanship of Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami, President of the Arab Parliament.
The session will examine a number of topics discussed by the Standing committees of the Arab Parliament.
Hon.Musallam bin Ali Al Maashani, State Council member and member of the Foreign affairs, Politics and Arab National Security Committee on Tuesday participated in the meeting of the Committee. It discussed the developments in the political and security situation in the Arab States and Joint Arab action in the light of the resolutions of the Thirtieth Arab Summit held in Tunis last March and the extraordinary Arab Summit held in Mecca, in May this year.
The Committee reviewed its draft plan of action for the next session, as well as the report of the Sub-Committee on the Study of the Arab Parliament's vision for Arab water security: current situation and future prospects.
Hon.Khamis bin Said Al Sulaimi, State Council member and member of Social affairs, Education, Culture, and Woman and Youth committee, participated in the meetings of the committee.
It discussed the reports of several sub-committees, including the committee dealing with the preparation of a draft Arab standard guiding law for education. Also, the committee for the preparation of a draft indicative law for the preservation of Arab antiquities and the committee to prepare a draft Arab indicative law for the Organization, establishment and mechanism of work of organizations working in the charitable and humanitarian field. In addition, it discussed the report of the Sub-Committee on the study and preparation of a draft guiding law on the network of Arab Social Security.
The Committee also reviewed its work-plan for the next session.
