Chairman of the Chinese CPPCC visits national landmarks,holds meetings

Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and his accompanying delegation visited the Royal Opera House on Friday.
During the visit, the guests was briefed about the Opera House, its modern facilities and programs and the latest equipment used in the music shows.
Wang Yang and his delegation also met the representatives of Chinese companies and Chinese community working in the Sultanate.
On Thursday, the guests visited the National Museum where they were briefly explained about the museum built on an area of (13700) square meters which includes (14) halls containing about (5500) of the archaeological collections. They were briefed about the archaeological collections, which deal with various aspects of life in Oman spanning several historical stages.
The Museum, which is a prominent cultural monument, highlights the treasures of the Omani heritage by adopting the best practices and standards in the fields of museum science.
The Chairman of the Chinese (CPPCC) and his delegation will conclude their visit to Oman on Saturday.
